the director's cut is ~32min longer than the theatrical release. lots of new and extended scenes, including the climatic beach scene XD it's not just the extra scenes, but also the music and the editing. anyways, enjoy ^^

there's a lot of extras on Disc 3 of the Special Edition. they mostly are making ofs and stage greetings, but there's deleted scenes and a rehearsal of the fire dance. the two audio commentaries has Jun and the others talking about the events.

instead of the usual audio commentary on the movie, the Special Edition DVD has a visual commentary on Disc 2. you can watch Matsumoto Jun, Miyagawa Daisuke and Higuchi Shinji as they watch the movie and make their comments.
