an Arashi filled weekend

another 13-hr shift on Saturday ^^; it was fun though - it was kinda quiet so we ended up gossiping quite a bit lol. i told them about the konbini oshiete that Arashi did - you know, the one with where they have to ask out the girl at the convenience store. since the place where i work at is kind of like one, it was pretty funny imagining someone saying those things =P

when dad was driving me on Sunday, i was kinda listening to the radio but not really paying attention so i was shocked when a familiar melody started to play... it was We can make it! but the english version. the original was by Agnes Carlsson and it was covered by Australian singer Ricki-Lee. i don't normally listen to the radio, and i rarely watch tv these days so i was super surprised lol. when i got home i tried to do some research but it was so hard since my net was so slow >< man i want to upgrade so badly! got there eventually though. the composers were Swedish so no surprise that the original singer was Swedish. then it was Arashi's japanese version, and now Ricki-Lee's version, which is almost the same as the original, but more in Arashi's style. listening to the english version makes me realise how catchy the music is, but the lyrics between the two languages are really different. Arashi's is about not giving up, the english version is about falling in love again.
